Have a pro do it for you %26amp; may I suggest that you ask the stylist to alternate pink %26amp; gray perm rods? This is the best combo of perm rods to use, so your hair will have lots of volume once it loosens up in a few weeks. If you got bigger rods, you'd end up with a body perm, which wouldn't give you the volume you want. Don't shampoo your hair for 48 hrs. after your perm, then once you do, be sure to get your ends trimmed every six to eight weeks. Your perm will last much longer. No, it won't be like cutting your perm off, because it's just the ends you want to have cut. A good perm, with regular trims, will last you a good six months or a little longer.

Don't perm it.. that wouldnt help big sexy is awesome! great for vol. and body also a brand called double body is nice also and backcombing/teasing it at the root is a good way a! Short layers help to you need some thickening products and volumizing products layers and some back combing as i said products i recommend big sexy and double body.. you can get them at a salon

Also use volumizing product. The best thing to do is put mousse in your hair after you shower and blow dry upside down so it gives your roots more volume. Also when you're done styling tease the roots and comb the top layer. Just adding volume to the roots alone will make your whole hair look thicker and more voluminous. If you don't know how to tease google it and you'll be able to find lots of videos to show you how. Good luck

I wash with a mild shampoo and only use a leave in conditioner. At night I sleep in those pink spongy curlers so the next couple days, my hair has a wave to it. And I use mouse and hairspray.

Diffuse alopecia areata may mimic pattern alopecia. The presence of exclamation point hairs, pitted nails, or a history of periodic regrowth or tapered fractures noted on hair counts suggests the diagnosis of diffuse alopecia areata.
