alright im a guy and i have thick straight hair i need some tips what should i style it as. its not really long its like past my ears and then the front touchs my eyebrows so maybe that will give u an idea of how long it is.....

i have the same problem. if you want a drastic cut, an angled bob cut would be a pretty good choice if you have a round face. a hairstyle i like to do often is you start off by parting your hair, than take a strand from one side and twist it in towards your scalp, then add more strands like you would a french braid, until that half of your head is twisted. than hold it with an elastic or clip. than do the other side. you can finish it off by doing pigtails with the twists or tying them together to get more of a princess look. hoped this helped.

headbands are so cute and very in-style right now, they can make an outfit look really cute and give you a change from just wearing your hair down. or add one to a ponytail. they aren't too expensive either, if you know where to look. Nordstroms has a lot in the teen sections from about 4-15$, and you can also look at places like Claire's.

I have curly hair too. Get a cut with bangs, and have it work with the natural shape of your hair. Try using Aveda Brilliant retexturing gel. After you get out of the shower, put it in when your hair is still wet. After that leave it alone and don't do anything to it. It will make amazing curl.

Im looking for a hair colour and style change...i've had my hair highlighted blonde, all over blonde, mahogany red, bright pink tips, black and everything in between lol, my hair colour is currently (my natural) dark brown (with natural red undertones) I have fair, pale skin, med brown eyebrows (much lighter than my hair colour) and blue eyes....any suggestions? Since you are done with wild colors, why not just dye your hair light brown (it will then match your eyebrows), cut a few inches off and keep it curly (some people would die to have curly hair...) Ok, I have wavy frizzy hair and I don't know what to do with it! When I try to get my natural wavy look by putting gell in my hair and scrunching it, it just looks sorta limp... I totally know how you feel. I actually suffer from similar problems. However, recently I found out that braiding is surprisingly the answer to all of the frizz problems. At night, before you go to bed, take a shower and wash your hair. Once you come out, braid your hair firmly and tightly and put some type of hair firmer like gel to keep the hair in that type of braidy texture. In the morning, your hair will have beautiful waves that are not frizzy. To ensure wonderful hair texture, put some more hair gel or hair spray. Your hair would be guaranteed a stylish and pretty look!

yes. do try side bangs. and try splitting them to both sides and then keep them to one side or the other.it'll look good on u.and u can try many hairstyles(pin-ups and tails) and it wont look boring. u'll have a new look everytime.

I would add a few slight layers into it, then I would curl the ends under or flip them out with a flat iron. I would only make the layers about an inch difference. You can also have your hair thinned. They have thinning shears that cut some of the bulk out, at a good salon. Its really neat, and if you get headaches from the weight of your hair they Will go away.

A fade does usually look good on most guys, but (please don't take this the wrong way) your face is already pretty long and a fade will make your face look even longer, what I would suggest is to go to a hairstylist, female, as close to your age as possible and ask her for her opinion, it will flatter her and make her want to do a better job and at the same time it will get you an up date, in style, and individual hairstyle. I recommended this to someone that was having a hair cut crisis before, and to this day, he claims it was his best haircut he ever had. besides if you don't like it you can keep your cap on, mens hair grows fast anyway; but I'll bet you like the way it comes out!!

I have long hair too and I love styling it! Your is much longer than mine but I think that the way I style mine will work for you too. 1. clip your hair up between the middle of your head and your ear, about 1-2 inches above that point and you can either leave it natural or use a tight curling iron and take little parts of hair and put tons of curls in. Use a good hair spray and you'll look fabulous all day. 2. grab your hair like you're going to make a pony tail and start twisting it until it is all rolled up in the back. Fasten with large bobby pins. You can either tuck the ends or leave them out. Sometimes I stick flowers into the side of the roll in the back and it is really pretty and feminine. 3. do a french or feather braid. If you know how to do french on yourself, feather is similar except you divide the hair in two and grab small groups of hair and bring it into the middle. I hope these help!

Well from a guy's point of view, I personally in general find girls with long straight hair appealing - if you're on the heavier side, then that also helps?

Being fit is also important to me for the opposite sex, but it sounds like you're on your way, so that's fine.

Something simple, straight, and [decently] long works for me - shoulder length straight hair sounds appealing enough :)

Ok i'm planning on getting a haircut but I can't decide how to cut it. My hair is about 2in. past my shoulders and is straight. I'm looking for an easy hairstyle that won't take a lot of time to fix in the morning. But it also has to be really pretty. These are my favorite hairstyles that ive found. Except for colour, they all look pretty much the same. They are all long, layered dos that are blown dry then flat ironed straight. Or a larg barrel curling iron used to give some curl.

I noticed in that last pic that her hair was very damaged from colouring and flat iron use. Something to think about. If you don't have naturally poker straight hair, that do will take a lot of time and work to upkeep.

But it is a pretty look, if that is what you want. :)

Wavy-Blowdry and add some shine spray.

my hair is quite long and has long layers in it. However i am thinking of getting a shoulder length bob as the ends are all thin and straggly. The problem is i have really fine hair that has a wave to it and tends to be frizzy. i am not sure if i would be able to maintain a bob?

It is so thin and the ends are so straggly i thought that by getting it all the one length would make it look thicker but am worried it will just weigh it down and i will have no body in it.

Any advice? The style i have now is side parting with fringe and long with layers. The sides at my face are slightly shorter but are very fine and wispy!

i would be wary as cutting your hair will give you more wave and you might have trouble coping with short hair after years of long. i would do the change gradually to see how you cope find it. i also have wavy hair and the weight takes the curl out if i get it cut it bounches up and is a pain.

I used to have seiourly ffrizzy hair until i invested in ghd straighteners. Now my frizzy-hair-days are HISTORY!!!

Fot thin hair, I reccommend using vidal sasson. You can buy them for bout 20 quid in argos, boots etc.

GHD's are great straighteners too, but if you have thin hair already, then may make your thin hair look even thinner. I reckon vidal sasson is your best bet!

get john frieda frizz ease mouse. its a life saver. haha when your hair is wet put some mouse in it and scrunch it and it will make it curly and then blow dry it while you are scrunching it in a ball in your hand. it will get curly. and every once in a while while your blowdrying it put more mouse in and scrunch it. then you can wear it in a low or high loose ponytail, down low or high, or just down. it looks really good with headbands

i think thats really cute! i'm pretty sure that cut would go with an oval face because almost everything looks fine with an oval face. i can't really tell your face or face shapes from pictures but i'm sure it'll look good on you! you should ask your hair stylist if you have any questions because they know best. but i don't think it'd be too hard to style it everyday. the one thing you'd have to worry about is layering because since there are a lot of layers so you might get more flyaways. so you probably just have to keep those tames. use some mousse or some kind of hair taming product or gel or cream to keep your hair down. smooth it over and i think that's it? that's really cute! i think i want my hair like that too! except maybe a little thicker and longer :] hope this was helpful! and it doesn't matter that you're in mid. school. you'll look so fab!

Hi, I have really really super thick red naturally curly hair. I mean we are talking thick as you can get. I often have people tell me that I have TONS of hair and it is very curly in front and wavy in back.

I would really like to try some bangs because right now my hair is just long and a little layered. What kind of bangs work well for thick curly hair? My hair curls in tiny little ringlets in front where I would have bangs, so I don't know what kind of bangs to give myself!!!

Also, what kind of products can I get that'll help condition my hair? The under layers of my hair are VERY dry and I want to get help for that.

And, what are some good products to use on my hair after washing. I don't have tons of time in the morning like between 10 and 20 minutes because I'm super lazy and hate mornings. I don't blow dry my hair cuz that makes it SUPER dry and is time consuming. So basically what are good products that eliminate frizz and are quick for easy styling? Thanks!!

i have basically the same hair as you, and i dye and straighten it a lot so its really dry. i use a lot of different deep conditioners. if you know underneath is usually drier.. i leave a tiny bit of conditioner in my hair. i also used a ton of leave in conditioners.

in addition I'm very partial to the garnier brand hair products. there is one called "soothing milk" and one that comes in a little round pump bottle called sleek and shine. those are my fav.

as for bangs, they are hard to maintain with curly hair because the shorter you cut them the more they are going to curl. what i find looks cute it just straightening your bands and putting them off to one side. if you want to cut your hair to do this and don't want to have them so short that they need to be straightened, have it angled in the front...if the bangs are a little less than chin length...they can be straightened or left curly.

me too.....i normally put it in a ponytail when i go out casually. A french braid also looks really nice on long hair when it is done properly. You can also try a 1/2 ponytail where the top half is in a ponytail while the bottom half is loose. Otherwise i just wear it down.

hey! i have hair a little past my shoulders.. I'm always wanting to try new things with it, but sometimes cutting it isn't always the right answer. I think with your long hair, you could part it on the side, and wear it long, or put it in a ponytail. Also, long hair looks really cute if you wear it in a big clip.. you know, with like some of the hair hanging out. "FX: molding wax," which you can find at Walmart, that stuff will definately help you with the messy look. I do my hair messy all the time kind like in my pic and I love this stuff. Make sure you do your hair right out of the shower after you have run a towel through it a couple of times, it will help give you some movement with your hair. Also it depends on your hair cut, your hair may be too long for your hair to go "straight" up.

I get a clip, spin my hair and twist it upward, and then clip it a bit above the nape of my neck so that it looks like a kind of fuller and snazzier ponytail. Guess it depends on how long your hair is, though.
