Trouble styling my hair..help?

I'm dieing to style my hair like this :

I have long, straight, thick hair..can someone suggest some styling products or any tips to help me achieve this look? thanks a bunch

inside layers with a razor.

use long sponge rollers. (cut a carwash sponge and wrap with foil) on dry hair using end papers and hairspray. when dry and cool take out rollers and apply pomade to ends with fingers.

just so you know - the style with really loose curl/wave won't last all day. do it while damp and you can have curly one day wavy the next.

To get the curls, use wet rags and twist it around your hair to create thick curls, and then sleep on it..

first if your hair is really thick you need to take some weight of with a little thinning (go to a salon don't try this your self),then after shampooing you need gel that holds but isn't to stiff gram web gel is good for that. dry and set on large hot rollers this will give the wave you want in no time. finish with some hair spray for hold and a shine spray to make your hair look healthy and shiny i like chi shine spray.

go to a hairstylist and ask them to thin out your hair and explain your desired hairstyle...

Hair Of The Dog by Lee Straford is a very good styling putty. dont use to much though it;ll make ur hair oily. also try putting mouse in your hair when its damp then blowdry you hair into your style.
